About Cheetah Kids.com
Since the age of four Cameron has been fascinated with cheetahs. In kindergarten he drew pictures and wrote stories about a cheetah named "Fast Spot" and asked his mother to make a cheetah costume for Halloween, which she actually hot glued on over 700 spots!! For his seventh birthday he adopted a cheetah from the National Zoo in Washington D.C. to help protect them and fund research.
As a young boy, Cameron nurtured his passion through reading books and creating cheetah art. He decorated his room with cheetahs from photos and paintings to blankets, a cheetah quilt and numerous stuffed animals (cheetahs, of course). He spent time learning all about cheetahs and soon discovered that this beautiful animal is endangered. Cameron wanted to do something to help save cheetahs from extinction. It is from his passion that in 2007, CheetahKids.com was created. When asked why he wanted to start a website, Cameron simply replied, "For the love of Cheetahs." Enough said.
Cameron is now a teenager and continues his commitment to help save this majestic animal. He realizes other kids love the cheetah too and he hopes that every 'Cheetah Kid' learns a bit more about cheetahs from this website so they too can help spread the word about the plight of cheetahs.
While you're here you can link to The Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia, Africa and to the National Zoo's African Savanna where you can watch live video of their cheetahs through 3 different "Cheetah Cams" and learn more about how you can help save these incredible creatures.
Thank you for visiting!
